Background
I found my Mac Powerbook 1400c and was very excited to see that Rebirth was installed on it. I was thrilled to fire it up, but then it asked me to put the cd in. I went rooting through my boxes and found my original Rebirth RB-388 cd case.
It was in a Digipak. I wonder if they stll make those…
It was empty. I was disappointed, but that didn’t stop me. Undettered, I started researching ways to getting it running on my Macbook Pro. Running OSX. And after a couple days of exploration, I was able to do it. This is how.

and rename it Mac OS ROM
.
You’ll also need to pull down a copy of OS9.rom
.

onto SheepShaver Wrapper

and open Preferences…
Virtual Discs and Installations
In the Setup panel, Add...
the OS9 volume, so you can get your operating system installed.
Hit Save and Quit
then restart SheepShaver. It’ll run you through the installation process for OS9. When that’s complete, add ReBirth BR-388-cd
as a volume, and as a CDROM
.
Also be sure to add more RAM Size, you’ll probably need more than the default.
Install Rebirth
Double click Rebirth from the volume, and complete the installation process.
